About React-layouts
The Experience Behind Every Cut and Fill
React-layouts handles land excavation for property owners across Bozeman, Montana and the wider Gallatin County valley. We run the full earthwork scope, from clearing and grubbing a wooded parcel to cutting a basement, trenching utilities, and finish grading a pad to the tolerance the plans call for. The work covers the older blocks around Cooper Park and the newer acreage out along Baxter Lane.
Excavation looks simple from the road, one machine moving dirt, but the part that matters happens where you cannot see it. A subgrade compacted to 95 percent of maximum dry density holds a foundation flat for decades. A shortcut on that same subgrade shows up two winters later as a cracked slab and water in the crawl space. We treat the dirt as the structure it is, and we test compaction with a Proctor-based check before we call any pad finished.
How We Work
- The right machine for the cut. An excavator, a dozer, a skid steer, and a backhoe each own different work. We bring the one that fits your parcel off Durston Road, not whatever was already on the trailer.
- 811 and permits handled. We file the free underground locate, wait for the marks, and talk any grading plan the county wants into plain English before we dig.
- Written scope, no surprises. You get a clear quote and a scope before the first load leaves the site, and a real person answers when you call.
- Left clean and draining. Spoil is hauled, topsoil is stockpiled and reused, and the site is graded to shed water, not rutted and abandoned.
